Perhaps, it is not excessive to say that AC generator is one of the most important inventions in our life. Well, such thing is true because this generator has made it possible for us to operate a lot of electronic devices. If there is no generator, we will not be able to enjoy how the electronic devices make our life become easier. Normally, the people only know that generator is used to produce electricity. However, there are only a few people who know how exactly AC generator creates electricity. Actually, such knowledge has been gotten when we were still in our elementary school. It is the basic physic of electricity but most of us forget it.

Well, to refresh our mind, let us take a look at the experiment we used to do when we were still in our elementary school. Just take magnet and a clip. Make sure that the clip is made from electrical conductor. Point the magnet to the clip and move it toward the clip. The clip will definitely move and stuck on the magnet. Yes, indeed, that is the basic principal of how AC generator works. The magnet is producing electron which can make the clip move. That is why in AC generator, we will find magnet and some wires around the magnet. The magnet is moved in constant movement and speed to give the wires a stream of electron.

Here, we will learn again about rotor and stator. The rotor is the moving part of the generator, the magnet. While the stator is the part which is not moving in the generator, in this case is the wire. The combination of both parts will definitely create electricity and it flows through the wire. That is how electricity can be produced by an AC generator. The amount of the electricity is based on the size of the AC generator, in this case, the size of the magnet and the wire. The bigger the magnet and the more wires the generator will produce bigger electricity.
